In large glass or ceramic mixing bowl, combine egg, sugar and yoghurt; mix well.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Add flour mixture to egg mixture and mix to just combine
Pour batter into 12 greased muffin tins. Bake at 350°F until golden brown, 20-25 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the topping: In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Place butter in a small bowl and microwave on low just until melted
Remove muffins from oven and then muffin tins. Immediately dip the top of each muffin in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat the tops. When all muffins have been topped, dip them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture once again. Serve warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Makes 12 servings.
